Sweet Clementine: Clever Cocktails and Nosh Nouveau at The Pearl

Andrew Borley, Evan Watson and Jordan Clemens, formerly known as The Volstead Act, long-dreamed of opening an elegant and unpretentious neighbourhood watering hole. On September 15th, their dreams were realized with the official opening of Bar Clementine located at the base of The Pearl condo tower on Jasper Ave.

It took longer than expected for Clementine to open, but the wait was worth it.

I knew the cocktails were going to be great, I was hopeful the food would be just as good. It is, thanks to chefs Roger Letourneau, Chris Szelagiewicz and Ashley Brandin. I have now dined and imbibed on three occasions and am happy to say that Bar Clementine has added some oomph to Edmonton’s food and drink scene.
