Toast Culture – CBC Review

My first review at CBC radio after taking a three-month break is for Toast, a restaurant that opened this spring in the Oliver neighbourhood.

To be absolutely honest, I guffawed when I saw the sign go up in the old Bru Coffee space. Hadn’t the fancy toast phase passed? Aren’t we, at this point in 2019, post-toast?

You’re going to have to read my article here or listen to the on-air segment with Mark Connolly here to find out.

Below are some photos for you visual types:

Feature of the day (August): Philly Cheesesteak – roast beef, peppers, arugula, cheese sauce, poached egg.
The Mediterranean – Red lentil hummus, Greek vegetables, pickled onion, feta cheese & lemon yogurt on toasted naan bread
September 2019 menu
Ahi tuna poke salad

Find Toast at 11965 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton.
